Our drain relining services help commercial and managed sites restore damaged drainage assets with less disruption than open excavation. The work is suitable for cracked, fractured, leaking or displaced pipes where the existing line can be repaired internally.
Drain lining or relining is one of the solutions for when a drainage pipe becomes misaligned or damaged. Lining the pipe helps reinstate the structural integrity of the drain and extend the service life of the asset.
We provide drain relining services across Wirral, Liverpool, Merseyside and the wider North West, supporting planned maintenance, reactive repairs and wider drainage remediation works.
What is Drain Relining?
You may have a broken, cracked or leaking drain that needs repairing. In some cases, the only option is to excavate the ground or carriageway to access the pipe, but where conditions allow, the drain can be repaired internally. This is known as drain relining.
Relining is a useful option for commercial properties, developments, highways, yards and managed drainage networks because it can reduce disruption to access, trading areas and surrounding infrastructure.
How Does it Work?
Firstly, we inspect the drains using CCTV drainage equipment to locate the damaged section and understand the condition of the pipe. If the issue can be resolved through relining, we will usually propose this before more disruptive excavation works are considered.
After the crack, leak or displaced section has been identified, a resin liner is installed into the affected area to reseal and strengthen the pipe. The liner is then cured in place, creating a durable repair inside the existing drain.
Where cleaning or preparation is required before relining, our drainage team can use methods such as high pressure water jetting to clear silt, grease and debris from the pipe before the repair is completed.
Full Length Lining
For severe damage, repeated defects or longer runs of failing pipework, Quinn Developments can provide full length lining and renovation. We use appropriate materials, equipment and experienced site teams to restore the usable condition of the pipe while limiting disruption where possible.
Patch Lining
Patch lining strengthens localised areas of pipework and is often suitable for small cracks, fractures and displacement within a drainage system. It can stop a smaller defect developing into a more serious problem, particularly on commercial sites where drainage disruption can affect day to day operations.
Pipe and Sewer Relining in Liverpool and the Wirral
We offer pipe relining and sewer relining services throughout the Merseyside region. We can repair concrete, clay and plastic pipes in a range of site conditions, using inspection equipment to identify weak spots, cracks, leaks and intrusions before selecting the right repair method.
When relining is not suitable because the defect is too severe or the pipe has collapsed, we can advise on alternative options such as deep excavation repairs.
Commercial Drain Relining Specialists
Our expertise means we can advise whether a full length lining drain renovation is required or whether a single patch liner, or a series of patch liners, could achieve the required result. Every drainage system is different, so our recommendations are based on the condition of the asset, site access, operational requirements and long term repair value.
